"EDIT - 🚨 FRAUD, ABUSE, AND PREDATORY BEHAVIOR – STATE FARM HENDERSON, NV 🚨 * We strongly reject the false characterization in the agency’s reply. For months, we attempted to resolve this matter professionally and respectfully—including multiple requests for calls from billing and management, and a detailed breakdown of our charges. Not once during that entire time did we receive the breakdown or resolution we asked for. The only call we received from the owner came after we stated we were filing a formal complaint against this office. That is not how an ethical business operates, and customers have every right to escalate issues when ignored for months. Their attempt to frame our persistence as “aggressive” is a form of gaslighting meant to deflect from their own negligence. This situation began with their documented errors—including attaching a sold vehicle to our policy, destroying our discount, and billing us for 6 months of coverage while only providing 4 months. Inaccurate policy information including missing coverages on vehicles we share, inaccurate addresses, incorrect vehicles and several other variants of information that are detrimental when incorrect. These are not “policy misunderstandings”—they are billing discrepancies and potential violations of NRS 686A.310 (Unfair Insurance Practices) and NRS Chapter 598 (Deceptive Trade Practices). We will be reporting this office to the Nevada Division of Insurance and the Better Business Bureau so this behavior is documented and investigated. Customers deserve to know that this agency’s version of “professional service” includes ignoring months of contact attempts and then attacking customers for asserting their rights. The owner of this office called me today after months of ignored calls and messages, and her behavior was abusive, predatory, and pure gaslighting. She accused me of being “disrespectful” simply for expressing months of justified frustration over their mistakes. She even admitted she had been on vacation, prioritizing that over months of negligence and ignored requests to fix my account. This kind of hostile and dismissive conduct is predictable when you shine a light on fraudulent behavior in this office. I’ve been a loyal State Farm customer for almost 10 years with ZERO accidents or tickets, yet they charged me nearly $300/month—and Progressive quoted me over $1,000 less for the same coverage plus some. During my last policy term: 1. They attached a car I sold over a year ago to my new vehicle, destroying my multi-vehicle discount and using fraudulent methods to apply discounts that ultimately cost me more. 2. I asked multiple times over six months for them to review my payments, and they ignored every request. 3. My 6-month premium only provided 4 months of coverage, even though my insurance card showed a 6-month end date. 4. Despite paying more for a policy that didn’t reflect my spotless driving record, underwriting is entirely unwilling to refund me or make it right. They didn’t “discover” their error until my bill was already overdue for $900, and they refused to fix it. This office’s conduct is fraudulent, predatory, negligent, and abusive. I will be reporting them to the Nevada Division of Insurance, the BBB, and pursuing every legal option available. Loyalty means nothing to State Farm. Save yourself the money, the headache, and the abuse—go with a company that actually values its customers."

"I am leaving this review after months of watching my husband fight with this State Farm office over their fraudulent and negligent behavior, and the way this office has treated our family has been disgusting and abusive. We have been with State Farm for nearly 10 years with ZERO accidents or tickets on our record, yet we were being charged almost $300/month. We later found out Progressive quoted us over $1,000 less for the same coverage—and more. Here is what this office put us through: 1. They attached a car my husband sold over a year ago to our new vehicle, destroying our multi-vehicle discount and using shady “discount methods” that ended up costing us more. 2. He reached out for months asking them to review our billing, and they ignored him completely. 3. Our 6-month premium only gave us 4 months of coverage, even though the insurance card clearly showed a 6-month end date. 4. When we finally got a call from the owner, she was rude, condescending, and accused my husband of being “disrespectful” for expressing months of justified frustration. 5. She even admitted she had been on vacation instead of addressing the ongoing problem, which left us with a $900 bill for their mistakes. This was abusive, predatory, and blatant gaslighting from start to finish. Instead of apologizing or fixing their error, they refused to make it right, even after acknowledging their mistakes. We will be reporting this office to the Nevada Division of Insurance, the BBB, and pursuing every legal option. Loyalty means nothing to State Farm. "When I first switched my insurance to State Farm, I chose the agent that I wanted. I was moved by State Farm to difference agents without my consent. I was not given the option. At one point in time, my payments were fluctuating so drastically I needed an explanation as to why my payments were sometimes $100 less or more than the previous month. When I called to get an explanation, one of the male employees spoke to me as if I didn’t have a brain and repeatedly gaslighted me and it really pissed me off so demanded that I speak to someone else. This person did not gaslight me, but she didn’t really have an acceptable explanation. I don’t think that they knew the reason and I don’t think they wanted to say that. Since then my payments have been the same every month. I received a document in the mail stating that My Husband ‘s life insurance policy was eligible for some kind of change. I had questions so I emailed and specifically requested that I not get a response from the gaslighter. I requested anyone but him to respond. But he is the one who called me back and left a message and then replied to my email with the word “call.” The document that My Husband received regarding his life insurance policy, his daughter’s last name was spelled incorrectly. Then I noticed that my niece’s last name was spelled incorrectly on my life insurance policy, and it is a very common last name. I was infuriated at this carelessness. Two out of two policies they effed up. I think that it is necessary that employees double triple quadruple check the spelling of the name considering how important that information is on the document and they know it. They know that if the last name is spelled incorrectly, then the beneficiary will not receive the benefits. Seems to me that this is not a coincidence. At the very least it’s extremely careless. That’s like working at the credit bureau and not making sure that the Social Security number is accurate. To me this is a red flag, and this is probably an common industry practice. This is probably not limited to this agent or this company. Anybody reading this review I strongly urge you to make sure that all of the last names are spelled correctly on all of your policies. Hard for me to believe that they were that careless. Its hard for me to believe that they don’t know how to spell my niece’s very common last name. Once I saw that my request to not deal with the Gaslighter in the office was disregarded, and once I became aware of the carelessness regarding the last names, I wanted to switch agents, but I am not allowed to switch agents without requesting it. But State Farm can switch my agents without asking me, but I have to ask them and go through a process, but they are apparently entitled to move me to whatever agent they want. I also have to go through a process to correct these last names. I’m not employed by State Farm and I should not have to spend my time correcting their careless mistakes. Long gone are the days where you have an actual relationship with your agent. What ultimately prompted me to leave this review is the fact that I am the one who originally sought out this policy and I was a single person until I got married and added my husband and his car to this policy and I have been the main policyholder, the one paying the bill, the one doing all of the communicating, etc., but after I requested to change agents due to all of the above, they called My Husband and asked him what the problem was. They didn’t call me and ask me what the problem was probably because they know I’m gonna tell them so since they didn’t call me and ask me what the problem was, I will just leave it right here."

"JoAnn Cuevas does not care about her clients in any way! If you call her she is just about impossible to get on the phone, and her employees will do everything to avoid connecting you to her. If you leave her a message someone else will always call you back. Cuevas is always too busy to speak to clients! When her employees screw up your policy, & they have screwed up mine, she will not get on the phone to speak , and make sure things are done correctly! One of her "trusted" employees screwed up my policy to the point where I would have been very much in trouble - the policy they wrote had me illegally uninsured!!! If my wife, and I, didn't read the policy very closely, and know what insurance is required in Nevada we could have put us in legal jeopardy!!! We had to call l the office, and not able to get Cuevas to respond, and make whoever we did speak with rewrite the entire policy, and get it to us immediately! There were a few other problems, over time, but an OVERWHELMING, COSTLY, EXTREMELY INCONVENIENT, AND AGGRAVATING PROBLEM was the fact that they wrote my auto policy, and therefore my ID card, with an incorrect VIN! That hindered my ability to register my car on a timely basis, and I had to pay penalties to the DMV. That caused an enormous delay, as well as other seriously aggravating problems!!! When I called the home office there was no one who could assist, because it had to be taken care of at that local incompetent office!!!! No one should count on JoAnn Cuevas, or her office! RESPONSE TO YOUR RESPONSE: Of course you are unable to find us in your system as either a current or former policyholder; As well you also THINK THAT YOU haven’t had any interactions like the ones I described because you do not care about your clients/customers, or pay attention to what goes on with their coverage!!!!! AND, NO this is NOT in reference to a different policyholder’s account!!!!! Furthermore, based on our experiences I do not believe that the great majority of the other reviews are anywhere close to real!!!"
